Roots and shadows of roots have long been elements in my work, for their linear beauty and for their metaphoric qualities of groundedness, ancestry and structure. Root Overlay is a series of 3 images each with a digital photograph of roots printed on archival paper, combined with a video still of roots in motion printed on translucent vellum.
